The white dye penetrant that was used can clearly be seen. We are pleased to report that the initial results were positive, but we await a visit from the boiler surveyor to confirm the extent of work required on the boiler during its ten-year overhaul.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3153\" src=\"https:\/\/furnessrailway.co.uk\/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/20231122_145437A-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Alan Middleton with the gift wrapped replacement engine for Fluff\" width=\"660\" height=\"880\" srcset=\"https:\/\/furnessrailway.co.uk\/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/20231122_145437A-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/furnessrailway.co.uk\/about\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/20231122_145437A-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/>Wednesday saw the arrival of a gift wrapped package that was delivered from Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Inside was a four cylinder Perkins diesel engine with twin disc torque converter for Fowler 0-4-0DM <em>Fluff,<\/em> which had become surplus to requirements at the Pleasure Beach but which should give new life to <em>Fluff<\/em>.
